Introducing the GenTime Project: Temporal Structures of Gender Inequalities in East Asian and Western Countries (IGI Seminar 2023-1)

IGI invites Professor Man-Yee Kan of Linacre College, University of Oxford, to hold a seminar titled “Introducing the GenTime Project: Temporal Structures of Gender Inequalities in East Asian and Western Countries.”

Professor Kan is a sociologist, and her research focuses on gender and family in East Asia. In this seminar, Professor Kan will share the results of the GenTime project, which has investigated the differences and changes in the lives of men and women in Asian countries over the past 30 years. The research method employed in this study is unique for both gender studies and historical sciences.
